Terms of Service
Note: Mule Cube is currently in pre-production. These terms will apply when units become available for purchase.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of products from Nuclear Lighters Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating as MuleCube, based in Netherlands.
By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Product Definition
1.1 What MuleCube Is
MuleCube is a pre-configured hardware device consisting of:
- A single-board computer (Raspberry Pi or similar)
- Power management / UPS components
- Storage media
- Enclosure and accessories
- Pre-installed open-source software image
In essence, MuleCube is a computer with software pre-installed for your convenience. It is comparable to purchasing a PC with Linux pre-installed.
1.2 What MuleCube Is Not
MuleCube is not:
- A managed service or subscription
- A software product with ongoing development commitments
- A support contract for third-party software
- A replacement for professional emergency services, medical advice, or critical infrastructure
1.3 Open Source Software
All software included with MuleCube is third-party open-source software developed and maintained by independent projects. We do not develop, maintain, or control this software. Examples include:
- Kiwix (Wikipedia/offline content)
- Ollama (local AI)
- LibreTranslate (translation)
- Pi-hole (DNS filtering)
- Vaultwarden (password management)
- And others as listed on product pages
Each software package is governed by its own license (GPL, MIT, Apache, etc.) and maintained by its respective community.
2. Support Scope
2.1 What We Support
We provide support for:

2.2 What We Do NOT Support
We do not provide support for:

| Network/firewall issues | Your network configuration is your responsibility |
| Content accuracy | Wikipedia, maps, medical references - we don’t author this content |

2.4 Community Support
We maintain a community forum/GitHub discussions where users can help each other with configuration and usage questions. This is community support, not official support.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties
3.1 Hardware Warranty
MuleCube hardware comes with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. See Section 7 for details.
3.2 Software - AS IS
All software is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees that:
- Software will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Software will meet your specific requirements
- Data or content will be accurate, complete, or current
- Software will be compatible with future updates
3.3 No Fitness Warranty
We do not warrant that MuleCube is fit for any particular purpose, including but not limited to:
- Emergency or life-safety situations
- Medical decision-making
- Legal or financial decisions
- Mission-critical applications
- Professional or commercial use
3.4 Content Disclaimer
Pre-loaded content (Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, medical references, ebooks) is:
- Created by third parties, not us
- Potentially outdated from the moment of download
- Not verified by us for accuracy
- Subject to the original source’s terms and licenses
Do not rely on this content for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions.
4. Limitation of Liability
4.1 Maximum Liability
Our total liability to you is limited to the purchase price of your MuleCube device.
4.2 Exclusion of Damages
We are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Lost profits or business interruption
- Data loss or corruption
- Damages arising from reliance on device content
- Damages from software bugs or failures
- Damages from your modifications or misuse
4.3 Essential Purpose
These limitations apply even if any remedy fails its essential purpose.
5. Orders and Payment
5.1 Pricing
All prices are in Euros (€) and include VAT for EU customers.
5.2 Payment
We accept payment via Stripe. Payment is processed securely; we never store your card details.
5.3 Order Confirmation
Your order confirmation email constitutes acceptance and forms a binding contract.
5.4 Order Cancellation
You may cancel before shipping by contacting orders@mulecube.com.

7. Warranty
7.1 Hardware Warranty Period
MuleCube hardware is warranted against manufacturing defects for 2 years from delivery.
7.2 What’s Covered
- Defective electronic components (Pi, UPS board, etc.)
- Manufacturing defects in enclosure
- Defective accessories (power adapter, etc.)
7.3 What’s NOT Covered
- Physical damage (drops, water, impact)
- Damage from power surges or incorrect power supply
- Unauthorized hardware modifications
- Normal wear and tear
- Battery capacity degradation (batteries are consumables)
- Software issues (see Section 2)
- microSD card failure (consumable storage media)
7.4 Warranty Claims
Contact support@mulecube.com with:
- Order number
- Description and photos of the defect
We’ll troubleshoot and arrange replacement if warranted.
8. Returns
8.1 EU Right of Withdrawal
EU customers have 14 days from delivery to return for any reason. See Shipping & Returns.
8.2 Non-EU Returns
We extend the 14-day return policy as a courtesy to all customers.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MuleCube for:
- Illegal activities
- Distributing malware or illegal content
- Infringing intellectual property
- Any activity harmful to others
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 MuleCube Brand
The MuleCube name and logo are trademarks of Nuclear Lighters Inc.
10.2 Open Source
Included software retains its original licenses. Source code is available from respective projects. Our configurations and documentation are available at github.com/nuclearlighters.
11. Your Responsibilities
By purchasing MuleCube, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for learning how to use the device
- You are responsible for backing up any data you add
- You are responsible for software updates and security
- You will seek help from upstream projects for software issues
- You will not rely on the device for life-safety or critical decisions
- You understand this is a computer, not a managed service
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Netherlands law. Disputes will be resolved in Dutch courts, except where consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights under EU or local law.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
